Friday, May 16th is the date for the George City Wide Clean Up. Have
your items sorted into piles at your curb by 7AM on 5/16. The items must
be sorted -- Example - wood, glass, metal, furniture, etc. If it is all
on 1 pile, it will not be picked up. You must purchase a sticker for
your appliances by stopping at the city office. Call 475-3612 for

Bob Locker began his professional pitching career on April 14, 1965.
During his 10 year pro career he pitched in 576 games, compiling an ERA of
2.75. He was part of the '72 Oakland A's team that defeated
Cincinnati to win the World Series.

Improvements
The City of George is busy working to expand 11 of
the camping sites to include electrical services. The camping sites are also
being changed to allow more easy access in parking trailers. They
are now spaced farther apart to provide more room for campers. The bathrooms are
going to be renovated so that showers can be added to both bathrooms.
Trees Forever has also planted more trees in the area.
